Template notice: this is a starting-point draft. Have it reviewed by legal counsel and fill in the bracketed details before relying on it.
This policy explains what data Parfeed (operated by [Your Legal Entity]) collects and how we use it. We collect as little as we need to run the Service.
What we collect
- Account details - your email and basic profile, handled by our authentication provider (Clerk) when you sign up.
- API usage - requests you make (endpoint, timestamp, response status) so we can show usage, enforce limits and quotas, and debug.
- Billing - if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We store your plan and a Stripe customer reference; we never see or store your card details.
- Support messages - if you contact us, we store your message and the email you provide so we can reply.
How we use it
To provide and secure the Service, authenticate you, enforce plan limits, process payments, respond to support requests, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
We rely on a small set of processors to operate: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), and our hosting/infrastructure providers. They process data only to provide their service to us. We may disclose data where required by law.
Cookies
We use essential cookies needed for sign-in and security (via Clerk). We do not use them for advertising.
Data retention
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal and accounting obligations. Usage logs are retained for a limited period for operations and debugging. You can request deletion of your account data (subject to records we must keep by law).
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise them, contact us.
